The circuit
The Circuito di Siena is an international karting track in Castelnuovo Berardenga Scalo, near the Siena-Bettolle expressway, built in 2005 by the Torsellini family after the closure of the historic Ampugnano facility. In 2008 the track was extended to its current 1,037 m, 10 m wide, with a 12,000 sq m paddock; it has night lighting, a restaurant, a bar and an on-site hotel. It is the permanent home of the ACI Karting Italian Championships and has hosted WSK rounds; it is also hired out to motorcycle and car manufacturers for tests and launches.
